Develop a comprehensive strategy to address the damage caused by Fusarium spp. in Belize’s sugar cane industry through technical, analytical, and training-based interventions. The project includes identifying the pathogenic strain using molecular diagnostics, designing a management plan based on beneficial microorganisms, and training technical staff in biocontrol techniques and soil health management. This initiative aims to enhance the resilience of the sugarcane production chain, reduce economic losses, and strengthen the agricultural sustainability of the country.
Objetivo General:
To implement a practical intervention in the sugar cane industry utilizing Trichoderma as a biocontrol agent to manage Fusarium, ensuring improved plant health and higher yields.
