The HIH (Hand-in-Hand Iniciative) is an evidence-based, country-led and country-owned initiative of the FAO to accelerate agricultural transformation and sustainable rural development to eradicate poverty (SDG1) and end hunger and all forms of malnutrition (SDG 2), it was created in October, 2019. This iniciative include aspects like focus and proverty hunger, territorial approach, ensuring sustainable development, investment planning approach, partner macthmaking and programme governance. Also, from the beginning of 2023 the countries that are currently active are: Angola, Bangladesh, Butan, Burundi, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Gabon, Guatemala, Guinea-bissau, Laos, Malawi, Mali, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Solomon islands, Tajikistan, Yemen, Zimbabue.
Objetivo General:
To support the sustainable development of competitive and resilient value chains in support of the HIH Initiative.
