Descripción
The Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) in the Bahamas made efforts in sustainable actions, agricultural health and capacity building. Specifically, she worked on training producers on how to use all the resources of the hive, aquaponics and provided support on livestock management and nutrition and poultry production. It enhanced the capacity of the Government of The Bahamas to manage policies, plans and strategies, and strengthened its institutional framework, in line with international commitments. Ultimately, the Institute successfully delivered the Global Environment Facility's (GEF) Inception Report to the Government of The Bahamas which included an agricultural work plan to address the effectiveness of management in protected areas.
