Supporting the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries (MALF) in Plant Pests and Plant Disease detection and diagnosis to support the Agricultural Sector and Enhance local food security.

Objetivo General:

To modernize the agricultural diagnostics to significantly improve the MALF efficiency, accuracy and timely detection of plant pests and diseases through molecular technology using Polymerase Chain reaction (PCR).

Resultados Esperados:

The MALF and Trinidad and Tobago have improved their capabilities in diagnostics of plant pest and plant diseases using PCR molecular technology, enabling them to detect and respond to threats in a timely manner through IICA support.
