The 11th EDF Project will support CARIFORUM States in implementing their Economic Partnership Agreement. The project will address the main constraints impacting the countries' ability to comply with SPS measures. These constraints include weak legislative frameworks, multiple jurisdictions, inadequate enforcement of SPS controls, and limited human resources. The project's actions will aim to strengthen SPS systems, thereby improving market access and international trade. Public and private sector stakeholders along selected value chains will benefit from the project.
Objetivo General:
To increase compliance by CARIFORUM States with international SPS measures, standards and procedures to increase international and regional market access.
Objetivos Específicos:
  1. To strengthen the development of the SPS regulatory environment.
  2. To build the capacity of public and private sector capacity to comply with SPS measures.
  3. To strengthen the SPS capacity of the fisheries sub-sector.
  4. To build the capacity of public and private sector capacity to comply with SPS measures
Resultados Esperados:
  1. Strengthened SPS Regulatory Environment in CARIFORUM
  2. Capacity of public and private sector stakeholders built in SPS Measures.
  3. Strengthened SPS Controls in the fisheries sub-sector
