Descripción
This project seeks to facilitate the move to more suitable agriculture production grounds, but more importantly, assisting maroon villages in making the move from traditional shifting cultivation systems of production, to more sustainable sedentary production systems, and incorporating disaster risk reduction (DRR), and disaster risk management (DRM) strategies and climate smart production technologies to farmers. It will also seek to establish demonstration plots to strengthen knowledge capacities in clean crop seedling production and multi-cropping models aimed at building adaptation and resilience capacity, increasing farm productivity, and promoting crop diversification in order to secure food nutrition security for these indigenous.
Objetivo General:
To strengthen maroon farmers´ resilience to climate change and climate variability.
Resultados Esperados:
  1. Maroon farmers knowledge capacity strengthen in the establishment and management of crop nurseries and multi cropping production plot.
