PROCINORTE (Cooperative Research and Technology Program for the Northern Region) under the umbrella of IICA, proposes to support USDA-ARS (United States Department of Agriculture) with implementation, administration for international research collaborations, and scientific training for the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) to further collaborations among a community of scientists and experts researching animal diseases that are endemic in the Americas.
Objetivo General:
To support research collaboration efforts between USDA/ARS and international scientists working on priority research projects of mutual interest.
Objetivos Específicos:
  1. IICA will support this effort through its technical cooperation mechanism, PROCINORTE, its Executive Secretariat in IICA Canada in Ottawa and its Animal Health Task Force.

  1. Supported the molecular characterization of classical swine fever virus isolates from Ecuador: The path to eradication.
