Enhancing the Capacity of GIS Technicians in Flood Assessment and Vulnerability Mapping in Trinidad and Tobago through Master Training Led by GIS Experts from Argentina.
Objetivo General:
To increase the knowledge of national GIS technicians from the Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Fisheries (MALF), the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA), the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM), the University of the West Indies (UWI), and the Drainage Division of the Ministry of Works and Transport in Trinidad and Tobago through participation in 40-hour training sessions on Remote Sensing Applications in Flood Management, which include theoretical instruction, practical exercises, and a field tour.
Resultados Esperados:
  1. Twenty (20) GIS technicians in T&T have strongers skills and knowledge in applied flood modelling, mapping and assessments.
