Following the earthquake and Hurricane Grace in August 2021 in the South, the World Bank approved the Ministry of Agriculture's request to prioritize the rehabilitation and construction of rural infrastructure and to restore and boost the local food supply. This initiative aims to ensure the availability of nutritious food through technical packages for plant and animal production. Additionally, a mechanism will be implemented to enable the government to respond more quickly and effectively to eligible emergencies, reducing the country's vulnerability. The consultation seeks to manage incentives for animal production in four departments, following the procedures outlined by the Ministry of Agriculture's operations manual.
Objetivo General:
Recapitalize certain goat and poultry farmers, beekeepers and fish farmers by distributing technical packages enabling them to reconstitute part of their livestock and/or equipment while guaranteeing better resilience of their breeding practices.
Objetivos Específicos:
  1. Mobilize the team to launch the project
  2. Train the technical team on the field
  3. Elaborate the inception report
  4. Organize key meetings with the MoA and key partners on the field
Resultados Esperados:
  1. Ensured the capacity of the office to implement the project by hiring key personal
  2. Developed a coordinated plan of action for proper implementation of the activities
  3. Better techniques shared with the farmers to develop their animal production through trained field team
  4. Better implemented project thanks to the partners and stakeholders well informed about the activities and strategy
