Objetivo General:
Strengthen capacities in Latin America and the Caribbean to effectively participate in the international standard setting process.
Objetivos Específicos:
  1. Support the review of draft OIE standards
  2. Support thematic sessions related to international standards
  3. Strengthen SPS leadership capacities in LAC
  4. Support AMR initiatives in the Region
  5. Support for attendance to the Codex Committee on General Principles (CCGP) and the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC)
  6. Support the review of draft animal and plant health standards while promoting inter-regional communication, development of regional positions and cooperation initiatives.
  7. To increase the ability of regional governments to establish surveillance, conduct research, and mitigate Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)
Resultados Esperados:
  1. Strengthen technical capacity to develop science-based plant and animal health standards in the Americas
  2. Technical capacities on Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) in Food Products of AnimalOrigin have been stregthen
